YouTube introduced a new set of AI-based features for content creators at the Made on YouTube 2025 event. The updates cover YouTube Shorts and Studio, where tools for video creation using the Veo 3 Fast model from Google DeepMind have been introduced. Now, creators can generate video backgrounds, sound clips, and customizable objects directly in Shorts, while the “Edit with AI” feature helps quickly assemble videos from raw footage.
Additionally, there is a new ability to convert voice into musical accompaniment using “Speech to Song.” Updated stylization and motion effects allow creators to more precisely control the appearance of videos. Some of these features are currently available in open beta for YouTube Partner Program participants, and access is expanding globally for users through Shorts and YouTube Studio.
Besides this, YouTube is launching new capabilities for live streams, podcasts, music fans, and expanding tools for brand collaboration and shopping integration. The company states that these updates are aimed at supporting the creator economy and fostering self-expression through digital platforms.
