xAI continues to improve its web application for Grok, recently introducing a new “Preview” feature that allows users to see rendered HTML code. This feature works similarly to Canvas or Artifacts on other platforms. Currently, only HTML formats are supported, but the feature already shows promising results.
The “Preview” button appears at the top of the code block, and when clicked, a sidebar opens showing the rendered version of the code. This allows users to interact directly with the result. It’s a valuable addition, especially considering that Grok 3 has significantly improved in coding compared to the previous version.
Another feature currently in development is desktop notifications for deep research tasks. If a task takes longer, users will be able to close the tab or start another chat, receiving a notification once the research is complete. Since these processes can take a significant amount of time, this could be a useful productivity boost.
These updates may enhance Grok’s competitiveness in the AI field, giving users new opportunities to work more efficiently with code and research.
