Elliot Wolf, executive producer and son of “Law & Order” creator Dick Wolf, is starting a new project for true crime enthusiasts. Together with co-founders Andrew Adashek and Noah Rosenberg, they are launching the startup Wolf Games, which uses generative AI to create daily detective games. The company has announced raising $4.5 million in a pre-seed funding round.
The company’s flagship project is called “Public Eye” and is based on the growing interest in crime stories, allowing players to feel like detectives. The game is set in a dystopian future where crime rates are so high that law enforcement decides to involve the public in investigations. Players collect evidence, analyze clues, and use AI assistance, which provides tips for solving crimes.
Creating new detective stories every day is no easy task, so Wolf Games uses AI to assist the writing team. The AI draws inspiration from headlines by leading news sources such as CBS and NBC. Similar to “Law & Order,” the stories in the game are fictional but based on real news. Additionally, AI is used to generate interviews and crime scene photos.
The game “Public Eye” will be available online this summer. It will be free to play with in-game purchases. Those who want to try the game need to join the waitlist. The company plans to collaborate with intellectual property owners to adapt TV shows into new games.
