TikTok is launching new settings that allow users to determine how much AI-generated content they want to see in their “For You” feed. The update will appear in the “Manage Topics” section, where users can already choose the frequency of viewing materials on various topics such as dance, sports, or food. Now, “AI-generated content” has been added to this list, allowing users to adjust the amount of AI videos according to their personal preferences.

The company announced this at the trust and safety forum in Dublin. Currently, more than 1.3 billion videos on the platform are labeled as AI-generated. TikTok receives over 100 million new videos daily, so AI content remains just a part of the overall flow, but its amount is increasing with the emergence of new video generators.

In addition to user settings, TikTok is introducing new “invisible watermarks” technology for videos made using the company’s tools, such as “AI Editor Pro.” These watermarks can only be recognized by the platform itself, making it difficult for other users to remove them. This will be another way to reliably mark AI materials and prevent their masking.

Simultaneously, TikTok announced the launch of a $2 million fund to support projects aimed at raising awareness about AI. The money will go to experts and organizations that create educational content about the safe and responsible use of artificial intelligence.
