OpenAI is developing a new feature for the Sora model that will allow users to search for videos and images. This functionality is reminiscent of search in ChatGPT, enabling users to browse past conversations using locally indexed data. While the user interfaces may be similar, the implementation could differ.
Users will be able to search in two main sections: in the media library, which includes user-generated videos, and in the “Explore” section, where videos from other users are published. Although the ability to search both images and videos is planned, the image generation feature is still under development.
The top feed, which was previously discovered, now appears to be working. Although it is not yet publicly available, it displays videos that can be filtered by day, week, month, year, or all time, based on user preferences.
Sora is a video generation model from OpenAI designed to create realistic videos from text prompts. Released in December 2024, Sora allows you to generate videos with resolutions up to 1080p and durations of up to twenty seconds. It offers features such as “Remix,” “Loop,” and “Blend,” which allow seamless editing and combining of videos. Access to Sora is available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro subscribers, with different levels of access depending on the subscription plan.
