The company OpenAI demonstrated new capabilities of AI Sora 2 in handling knowledge questions. The Epoch AI platform conducted a test in which Sora received ten random tasks from the GPQA Diamond Multiple Choice Benchmark in natural sciences. To complete the test, Sora created a video where a professor holds a sheet with the corresponding letter of the answer.
In this trial, Sora achieved a result of 55 percent, while GPT-5 scored 72 percent. Representatives of Epoch AI noted that before creating the video, the language model can change the prompt and insert the answer in the process. Similar approaches are used by other systems, such as HunyuanVideo, but there are currently no official confirmations regarding Sora.
This test highlights that the boundaries between text and video models are becoming less noticeable. Users can use Sora to create videos with answers to questions, opening new opportunities for learning and knowledge testing.
The development of such functions allows for broader application of AI in educational processes and helps users obtain visual explanations for complex questions. The system supports the integration of different information formats, making it useful for teachers, students, and anyone interested in natural sciences.
