OpenAI announced an update to its latest model GPT-5. The company aims to make AI “warmer and friendlier” for users. According to the company’s statement, GPT-5 now includes small new elements in responses, such as phrases like “Good question” or “Great start.” OpenAI emphasizes that these changes are not flattery but are intended to create a more genuine connection with the user. Internal tests did not show an increase in the model’s tendency to flatter compared to the previous version.
