OpenAI introduced a new tool for ChatGPT called “Deep Research.” This feature helps users perform complex research tasks by analyzing and synthesizing information from various sources. The feature is currently available to ChatGPT Pro users at $200 per month, with a limit of one hundred requests per month. In the future, it will become available to Plus, Team, and Enterprise users.
“Deep Research” is powered by OpenAI’s o3 model, optimized for web browsing and data analysis. Users can enter queries in text and add files for context. After that, ChatGPT generates detailed reports with source references. The process takes from five to thirty minutes.
OpenAI warns that “Deep Research” may sometimes make mistakes or mix accurate and inaccurate information. Users are advised to verify the results to ensure their accuracy. The tool is designed for professionals in finance, science, and engineering, but can also be useful for consumers conducting in-depth product analysis.
