OpenAI has introduced a new web tool ChatGPT Translate for translating texts in more than 50 languages. The service features a simple interface with two fields for entering the original text and viewing the translation. Users can select languages using dropdown menus, similar to the functionality of Google Translate.
ChatGPT Translate allows text translation using AI capabilities and offers stylistic presets for choosing the translation tone. Unlike Google Translate, OpenAI’s service does not support the translation of documents, images, or websites, and works only with text data.
The tool is available separately from the main ChatGPT and does not require special settings to start working. To translate, simply paste the text into the appropriate field and press the translate button. This makes the service easy to use for a wide range of users.
ChatGPT Translate is positioned as a direct competitor to Google Translate, but primarily focused on text translations and integration with conversational AI capabilities. Users can quickly obtain translations and experiment with different text presentation styles.
