OpenAI has announced the expansion of access to ChatGPT Search for all users. Previously, this feature was only available to paid subscribers. Now, users can use it for free via mobile apps and the website chat.com.
ChatGPT Search allows you to search for information on the internet, displaying summarized answers from various sources with “rich” content, such as photos and videos from YouTube. OpenAI notes that ChatGPT Search automatically determines which queries are best handled with the new feature, or users can manually activate search via the “Search the web” icon in the ChatGPT interface.
Additionally, OpenAI has introduced an improved version of ChatGPT Search for mobile devices. On mobile platforms, users can get better-organized information about businesses, including addresses and phone numbers. The Advanced Voice Mode is also available, allowing users to receive up-to-date information from the internet in real time.
OpenAI continues to improve ChatGPT Search, taking into account partners’ feedback on article relevance and summary length optimization.
