OpenAI introduced the “ChatGPT Record” feature in the desktop app for macOS. It is available for users of Pro, Team, Enterprise, and Edu plans. The feature allows recording voice sessions up to 120 minutes long, then automatically recognizing the language and creating structured short summaries of the conversation. This can be useful for taking notes during meetings, creating reports, or quickly saving ideas in a convenient format.
Developers reported that “ChatGPT Record” works best with English. All audio recordings are deleted after transcription, and the company does not use them to train its models. Corporate and educational plan users can access this feature through the Compliance API.
