OpenAI announced the expansion of “Projects” features in ChatGPT, now available for users on Plus, Pro, and Team plans. The new capabilities are designed to make working with chats and files more convenient and organized, especially for those using AI for learning, work, or planning.
Among the six innovations is the Deep Research mode, which allows combining chats, uploaded files, custom instructions, and online sources within a single project. This helps systematize information for long-term or complex tasks. Additionally, voice interaction with ChatGPT within a project has been added — now you can ask questions and work with files using your voice.
Another update concerns information sharing: users can create separate links for sharing specific chats from a project. Mobile devices now support file uploads in project chats and switching between different AI models without needing to switch to a computer.
Moreover, the model now better remembers previous chats within a single project, allowing quick access to needed information. Each chat can be easily converted into a separate project or moved into an already created project — simply use the menu or drag the chat into the appropriate folder on the sidebar.
