OpenAI announced in their post on X the launch of the ChatGPT image generation feature for WhatsApp users. However, this feature is currently only available to users in the USA and Canada.

To use the new feature, you need to add the number 1-800-242-8478 to your WhatsApp contacts and start a chat by sending a simple greeting. ChatGPT will respond with a message explaining that it is an AI chatbot and will warn about the terms of use. You can then send text descriptions of the desired images.
The created images are sent as a response in the chat and are generated using the GPT-4o model. The system can create detailed and realistic pictures that contain legible text and complex elements. The response usually arrives a couple of minutes after the request.
The integration of ChatGPT with WhatsApp allows users to interact more easily with AI and use it to create unique images in everyday communication.
