Microsoft has announced a rollback to the previous version of the DALL-E 3 model in its Bing Image Creator tool after numerous user complaints. This decision was made following an update on December 18, which, according to many users, led to a decrease in the quality of generated images.

Users on social media expressed dissatisfaction, noting that the images look less realistic and lack sufficient detail.

Microsoft’s Head of Search, Jordi Ribas, confirmed that the company has reproduced some of the reported issues and plans to revert to the previous model version, known as PR13. According to him, the rollback process may take several weeks.

Previously, Microsoft stated that the new DALL-E 3 model offered improved image quality and generation speed. However, the company’s internal assessments, which indicated minor improvements, did not match user feedback.
