At an event in New York, Microsoft presented a new version of Copilot — a personal assistant that has received updates in the form of voice and visual capabilities. This redesign includes integration with mobile devices, the web interface, and Windows, providing users with more personalized features. Among the new options is a virtual news anchor mode, allowing Copilot to read news headlines, as well as a natural voice conversation mode similar to OpenAI.
Windows 11 is also receiving updates, including new features for Paint and Photos such as Generative Fill and Erase. These functions allow users to add or remove objects in images, making the editing process simpler and more convenient. Additionally, the new search on Copilot Plus PCs, which uses a semantic index, enables searching for files using text descriptions, even if they do not contain relevant keywords.
The Windows 11 update also includes improvements to the Start menu, which now displays the Phone Link connection status, notifications, and your phone’s battery level. This gives users quick access to messages, calls, and photos, making interaction with devices even more convenient.
In addition, Microsoft announced the release of the new Asus NUC 14 Pro AI — the first mini-PC with Copilot Plus, equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor. This device offers high performance thanks to support for up to 32 GB of RAM and the ability to connect an SSD of up to 2 TB. The new Copilot features and Copilot Plus-based devices promise to significantly simplify working with information and boost user productivity.
