Microsoft has announced the availability of the new “Think Deeper” feature on the Copilot platform for all users. This feature, which was initially available only to Pro users in Copilot Labs since October last year, is now free for users on Android, iOS, and the web version. However, free users are limited to three requests per week, which has sparked mixed reactions.
The “Think Deeper” feature uses the o1 model from OpenAI to solve complex tasks, providing detailed step-by-step answers. It is suitable for tasks that require deep analysis, such as solving advanced math problems or creating personalized plans. Users can activate the feature via the three-dot menu in the Copilot interface and switch between modes with or without reasoning.
Microsoft’s management has not yet commented on possible changes to usage limits but continues to monitor user activity. This is part of the company’s approach to improving AI features within Copilot Labs.
