Microsoft continues to enhance its products by integrating generative AI into new features. One such innovation is the introduction of animated characters that can speak. Initially, users had access to two characters — Mika and Aqua. Recently, another character named Erin was discovered in the code. Each character will likely have a unique voice, making interactions more diverse.

These characters are integrated into voice mode, allowing users to see them while working with voice commands. Microsoft is working on dedicated settings in the Labs section, where users will be able to enable or disable the characters as desired. Although it was initially believed that this feature would launch in Japan, there is now a possibility that Japan may only serve as a testbed for internal trials.
