Microsoft has announced the launch of an updated version of the Microsoft 365 Copilot app for business, which introduces a range of new features aimed at expanding users’ capabilities when working with documents and AI tools. The main changes concern the integration of an updated AI-powered search, the Create feature for generating images using the GPT‑4o model from OpenAI, as well as new “Notebooks” that allow users to organize work on individual projects in a convenient format.
The app now opens in a chat interface, bringing it closer to the consumer version of Copilot. The chat has gained memory and personalization features — this helps the AI better understand the user’s work habits and offer more relevant responses. The updated search can work not only with Microsoft data but also with external services such as Google Drive, Slack, Confluence, ServiceNow, and Jira, enabling more comprehensive results for various tasks.
The Create feature enables users to generate images, videos, polls, and other content for documents using the power of the GPT‑4o model. This is useful when preparing presentations or creating materials for social media, with images that can be adapted to the company’s corporate style. The “Notebooks” feature allows you to gather documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and project notes in one place, and quickly find the necessary information thanks to Copilot integration.
The app now features a new Agent Store — a dedicated section for accessing AI agents from Microsoft, partners, or those developed in-house. Among them are analytics agents, researchers, and an agent for searching employee skills, which helps form teams based on competencies. IT administrators have received additional tools for managing and monitoring the use of AI agents within the organization.
Microsoft has also simplified access to Copilot on Windows 11 computers — now the chat can be opened by pressing the Copilot and Win+C key combination. The new features are designed to help users work more efficiently with documents, automate routine tasks, and quickly find the information they need in both internal and third-party services.
