Meta introduced a new feature called Vibes in the Meta AI app and on the meta.ai website, which allows users to create and share short AI-generated videos. This feature is now available to select users and is aimed at creators, communities, and anyone looking to experiment with AI-based media tools. Videos can be created from scratch, using personal content, or by modifying existing clips in the feed with new visual effects, music, and styles.
All videos in Vibes are AI-generated, giving users complete freedom for creativity and remixing. Finished clips can be published in the Vibes feed, sent in private messages, or shared via Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels. Viewing Meta AI videos on Instagram provides quick access to remixing through the Meta AI app, simplifying idea exchange between platforms.
Meta uses video-generating models from Midjourney and Black Forest Labs, while the company’s own solutions are still in development. The team collaborates with artists and creators to refine the tools and actively expands AI capabilities for content creation. The Vibes feed first appeared in the US and over 40 countries but is currently unavailable in the UK.
Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg personally posted a video in Vibes that sparked a strong reaction from users. Among the clips are a cat in a baker’s apron, an Egyptian princess with a selfie phone, fluffy characters, and a dog running across a waterlogged field. Early feedback from creators highlights the ease of cross-platform sharing and the unexpected creativity of the new feed.
