Meta officially launched Vibes — a feed of short AI-generated videos, in the Meta AI app for users in Europe. All clips in Vibes are created by algorithms, and it looks like TikTok or Reels, but you won’t find any human-created videos here. The European launch occurred six weeks after the debut in the US, and now users can not only watch but also create their own videos using prompts or modify existing clips from others.

Meta allows adding new visual elements, music, and changing the video style so everyone can tailor the content to their taste. The video feed gradually adapts to the user’s interests. All videos can be shared in Vibes, sent to friends, or published in Instagram and Facebook Stories or Reels.
Meta emphasizes that Vibes is a space for collective creativity and experimentation, where everyone can remix and create new stories together with others. Since the launch, media generation in Meta AI has increased more than tenfold, indicating significant interest in such formats.
User reactions to the feed’s appearance have been mixed. In the comments to Mark Zuckerberg’s announcement, many expressed surprise and even disappointment, as not everyone wants to see an AI version of TikTok. Despite this, Meta is actively promoting the new feature, even as other platforms, like YouTube, try to combat the influx of low-quality AI content.
