The company Kling AI has introduced an updated lineup of KLING 2.1 models, including the standard version and the flagship KLING 2.1 Master. Both models support video generation from images at resolutions of 720p and 1080p, respectively. The cost of generating a 5-second video is 20 credits for the standard version and 35 credits for the professional version.

The KLING 2.1 Master model offers improved dynamics and accuracy in executing requests, and also supports video generation from text at 1080p. According to the developers, this model provides “unique motion smoothness, cinematic visualization, and exceptional request execution accuracy.”
Currently, the standard version of KLING 2.1 only supports video generation from images, but the video generation from text feature will be available soon.
In the Reddit community, users note that KLING 2.1 is a more affordable alternative to other models, such as Veo 3, particularly due to the ability to use third-party tools for lip-syncing and voice creation.
