The company Ideogram has introduced a new feature Ideogram Character , which allows for the creation of consistent character images based on a single photo. The tool is now available in the Character tab on the Ideogram platform and is aimed at those working with photorealistic faces. Users can upload a clear photo of a character, preferably in a frontal or three-quarter view, and then use prompts to generate images in different styles, poses, or environments.
The feature ensures the stability of facial features and hair, while special masks allow for adding a neck, changing clothes, or removing hair as needed. For fans of stylized images, the Fiction mode is available. “Ideogram Character” integrates with the Magic Fill tool, which allows for replacing faces in photos and inserting the created character into any scene using prompts.
In combination with the Describe and Remix features, users can recreate the composition and lighting of reference photos and control the degree of similarity of the new image to the original using the Remix weight slider. This makes the platform suitable for creating comics, personalized avatars, virtual branding, and other creative tasks where the consistency of the character’s appearance is important.
The new feature is available in the web version of Ideogram for early access users. The company continues to expand image generation capabilities, targeting scenarios where character identity and flexible integration into diverse scenes are important.
