Google is preparing new features for its design agent Stitch, which is aimed at teams and UI designers working with the company’s various AI tools. The biggest update is the Image Agent mode, marked with a banana icon and the suggestion “design in image space.” This option will appear alongside the already known Flash Agent and Pro Agent modes, allowing the creation and addition of AI-generated images directly into interface layouts.
The mention of “image space” indicates the possible emergence of a separate workspace in Stitch, but there is no official confirmation regarding its separation from the main design yet. Currently, users can already upload images directly to their projects, simplifying the combination of visual elements.
Another anticipated update is a button for creating a document that contains a concise description of the project’s goals, features, and screens based on chat history. This capability will help teams maintain detailed records and transfer project context to other tools.
Soon, the export list will expand: projects will be able to be saved not only in Jules but also in AI Studio and, likely, Lovable. This demonstrates Google’s desire to integrate Stitch with the company’s broader ecosystem of development solutions. The launch dates for the new features have not yet been announced, but these changes are aimed at improving design and development processes for teams using AI.
