Google is preparing a major update to the web version of Gemini, expanding its toolset. New features are being added to the existing ones, such as “Canvas,” “Deep Research,” and “Search”: “Memory (Teamfood),” video generation via Veo 2, and an image processing tool.
Among the new elements, there is also a feature that opens up the possibility of multimodal generation for users. Its appearance may indicate a broader implementation of functions that allow working with different content formats simultaneously. Additionally, mentions of video generation limits have been found in the code, which can be expanded after switching to the new “Gemini Ultra” plan.
The update will also affect the “Deep Research” feature, which will soon allow users to upload their own files — images, code, or documents — for more personalized research. This will significantly expand the possibilities for those using AI for professional or educational tasks.
Google has also renamed “Saved Info” to “Personal Context,” emphasizing the company’s desire to make working with users’ personal data more convenient. All these updates are expected to be officially presented at Google I/O, and the new “Gemini Ultra” subscription will combine advanced features, including image and video generation.
