Google introduced a new feature for Gemini called “Saved Info.” It allows users to manually add memories that Gemini will remember. This option is available in the settings menu, where users can add or edit information. You can also ask Gemini to remember certain details during conversations — this happens automatically, similar to ChatGPT.
The memory capacity for “Saved Info” is limited to two and a half thousand tokens, which is slightly less than ChatGPT. This feature is available to Google One AI Premium subscribers and currently only in English.
A distinctive feature of Gemini is the ability to manually add new memories, as well as delete or edit saved information. This gives users full control over their data. “You can easily view, edit, or delete any information you’ve shared with Gemini, and Gemini will show when it uses your data,” Google’s official announcement states.
