Google is preparing a new “projects” feature for its Gemini service. It will allow users to create separate spaces for organizing work, research, or creative tasks. Users will be able to add and manage files within each project, edit AI instructions, and access the research button directly from the interface.

The published screenshots show a right panel with a convenient tool for uploading documents and files. Gemini will be able to use these files in conversations and apply them as sources for creating new texts or code.
The ability to manage multiple files and link them with AI conversations meets the needs of users working on complex projects or research. Support for large context windows in Gemini models allows working with large datasets or multiple documents simultaneously.
The launch date of this feature is still unknown. The interface looks almost complete, but the feature may still be under development. Google traditionally implements large updates gradually and thoroughly tests new capabilities.
