Google Gemini has introduced a new experimental project called “Chess Champ,” which allows users to play chess in text format. Users select their move, and Gemini responds with an image of the updated board, highlighting the corresponding move. This approach enables Gemini to generate images based on its knowledge base.

The feature is available to all users, including those on free plans. However, it is currently unavailable on mobile devices. “This experiment opens up new possibilities for interacting with AI,” Google notes.
In addition, the release schedule for Gemini updates has changed again. The next update may take place on December 9. Gemini is Google’s most powerful AI model, designed for flexible and multimodal reasoning.
Google’s AI innovations are not limited to chess. Not long ago, Google DeepMind introduced GenCast for accurate weather forecasting, demonstrating AI’s capabilities in various fields.
