Google has announced the launch of a standalone Gemini app for iPad. Tablet users can now download a full-screen, iPad-optimized version of Gemini from the App Store, which supports all the main AI model features. The updated app allows you to work in Split View — placing Gemini side by side with other apps for convenient multitasking.
The new version of Gemini offers features such as “Gemini Live” for communicating with AI in over forty-five languages, creating and editing documents and code in “Canvas” mode, as well as generating images and videos directly on the iPad. The “Deep Research” feature enables users to quickly obtain detailed reports based on uploaded files or online sources, while “Audio Overview” lets you listen to discussions of uploaded materials in podcast format.
You can also add Gemini to the iPad home screen as a widget for quick access. In addition, the app supports integration with the Google Photos library, allowing you to analyze images and use them in AI queries.
Separately, Google announced the expansion of the “Audio Overview” feature — it is now available in more than forty-five languages for all users, including Gemini Advanced subscribers and the free version. Thanks to this tool, users can quickly receive audio analysis of documents, presentations, and other uploaded files.
