Google is rolling out a new feature for its assistant Gemini that allows users to recall previous conversations for more personalized responses. This capability is available to Gemini Advanced subscribers through Google One AI Premium. Thanks to the update, users no longer have to start conversations from scratch, as Gemini can now use information from previous chats to shape its responses.
Users can ask Gemini to summarize previous conversations or continue discussing topics that have already been raised. This streamlines communication, allowing users to focus on developing ongoing projects. The feature provides options to manage chat history, including viewing, deleting, and setting data retention periods.
Currently, the feature supports English, but Google plans to expand it to other languages as well as to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise users in the coming weeks. Users can try out the new capability both on the web version and in the Gemini mobile app.
This update is part of Google’s broader strategy to enhance its assistant’s capabilities, making it more interactive and accessible for various user categories, from enthusiasts to business clients.
