Google has announced the launch of a new flagship AI model called Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental. This event is part of a series of AI model releases. The company is also making the “reasoning” model, known as Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking, available in the Gemini app.
Gemini 2.0 Pro, the successor to Gemini 1.5 Pro, is now available in Vertex AI and Google AI Studio. The model features improved comprehension and reasoning abilities, and can interact with tools such as Google Search. It is capable of processing up to two million tokens, allowing it to handle large volumes of text.
Additionally, Google is making the Gemini 2.0 Flash model, announced in December, available to Gemini app users. The company is also introducing the cost-effective Gemini 2.0 Flash-Lite model, which outperforms the previous Gemini 1.5 Flash in terms of performance, while maintaining the same price and speed.
These new models enable users to leverage AI more effectively for creativity, entertainment, and work. In particular, Gemini 2.0 Pro offers enhanced capabilities for coding and handling complex queries.
