Artificial intelligence is gradually becoming one of the key development tools at Google. According to the company’s CEO Sundar Pichai, more than a quarter of new code at Google is created by AI, after which it is reviewed and approved by engineers. This approach not only optimizes the development process but also allows engineers to focus on more complex tasks.
Thanks to AI, Google is also significantly improving its financial performance. In the third quarter of 2024, Alphabet’s revenue reached $88.3 billion, including $76.5 billion from Google Services—a 13% increase over last year—and $11.4 billion from Google Cloud, up 35%. Pichai noted that innovations in AI are helping attract new customers to cloud services and driving YouTube revenue growth, which surpassed $50 billion for the first time in the past year.
An important addition has been the strengthening of AI features across all areas: from creating chatbots and analyzing search queries to expanding opportunities for content creators on YouTube. AI-powered features have also appeared in Google Search and Google Meet.
