The new features are AI-based and available in Figma Design and Figma Draw.

This enables image editing without switching to other platforms. All new capabilities are integrated with the existing “lasso” tool, which allows for area selection.
After selecting an object, the user can instantly remove it along with background filling or leave only the object itself for further use. The update is already available for Figma users and allows for significantly faster completion of basic image editing tasks within a single service. This expands creative possibilities and saves time during project preparation.
