xAI, the generative AI company owned by Elon Musk, has introduced an updated version of its chatbot Grok 2 for users of the social network X. The new Grok is three times faster and features improved accuracy, better instruction-following capabilities, and multilingual support, according to the company’s blog. Free users can ask only ten questions every two hours, while Premium and Premium+ subscribers get higher limits.
xAI has also added a “Grok” button to X, helping users find relevant context, understand real-time events, and dive deeper into trending discussions. This innovation aims to enhance user interaction with the platform and provide more opportunities to explore information across the network.
The company also announced changes to its enterprise API. The new Grok models offer better efficiency and multilingual performance, allowing for reduced service prices. Now, the cost is two dollars per million input tokens and ten dollars per million output tokens.
In the coming weeks, the Aurora image generation model will be added to the API. Aurora was already released this month in the Grok chatbot on the X platform. This additional innovation will expand users’ capabilities in AI-powered image creation.
