The company ElevenLabs announced the launch of a new product “Eleven Music”, which allows creating music using AI. Users can generate compositions in various styles, with or without vocals, and choose the language of performance among English, German, Spanish, and Japanese. After creating a song, you can adjust the sound, lyrics of individual parts, tempo, instrumental accompaniment, vocal style, and track structure.
“Eleven Music” is aimed at businesses, creative people, and artists. The company states that music created with this model can be used for commercial purposes, such as in films, TV shows, podcasts, social networks, advertising, and games. At the same time, there are restrictions: the service prohibits use in political, religious, and some other areas, and does not allow creating tracks for commercial music libraries.
ElevenLabs has signed agreements with Merlin Network and Kobalt Music Group to use materials from independent musicians to train its AI. Representatives of Kobalt emphasized that artists must agree to the use of their music and receive a share of the revenue from this collaboration. The company also restricts the input of famous artists’ names or popular lyrics to prevent violations of third-party rights.
Currently, Eleven Music is available with a 50% discount until the end of August. In the near future, the company plans to open a public API and integrate the music generator with its own conversational AI platform.
