Anthropic announced an update for its AI assistant Claude, which allows users to work with popular office tools directly in chat. Now, users of the Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans can create project timelines in Asana, draw diagrams in Figma, write and format messages for Slack, and work with files in Box, all without leaving the Claude interface. The new integrations are already available in the web version and desktop app, with support for the Claude Cowork feature coming soon.
Thanks to the expansion of the Model Context Protocol and the implementation of MCP Apps, users can interact with tools directly within the chat. This allows them to see the results of applications in real-time, collaboratively edit content, and coordinate actions with colleagues without the need to switch between tabs or applications.
Anthropic targets professionals and teams who frequently use various applications for project management, design, and communication. According to the company, the integration will help increase workflow efficiency and simplify team collaboration through a unified workspace.
Developers can create their own interactive interfaces for Claude using the open MCP protocol. This opens up possibilities for flexible integrations with various business applications and expands the ecosystem of AI solutions for corporate users.
