OpenAI updated the Advanced Voice feature in ChatGPT, allowing real-time voice interaction with AI. Now the model’s voices sound more natural — with softer intonations, realistic pauses, emphasis, and more expressive conveyance of emotions such as empathy or sarcasm.
In addition, the enhanced model simplifies conversation translation in different languages. Users can ask ChatGPT to translate a dialogue, and the AI will continue to do so until another command or language change is received.
The update is now available to all users with a paid ChatGPT subscription, regardless of country or platform. This allows for more effective use of voice mode for learning, work, or travel, and also creates additional opportunities for communication.
The company noted that minor sound quality changes are currently possible — for example, unexpected fluctuations in tone or pitch. The update also does not completely eliminate certain technical shortcomings, such as random sounds or background music, which sometimes appear during voice mode operation.
