OpenAI introduced the ChatGPT Pulse feature for mobile apps on iOS and Android, providing users with personalized daily summaries in the form of interactive cards. Pulse compiles a selection overnight using chat history, saved preferences, and connected services like Gmail or Google Calendar. Each card contains brief information that can be opened for details, saved, or rated with a “thumbs up” or “thumbs down.”
The feature allows managing update topics through the “Curate” tool and considers direct user requests for the next selection. If additional services are connected, Pulse can display important emails, prepare meeting agendas, or suggest ideas for travel and leisure. All integrations are disabled by default, and data access is granted only after user confirmation.
Pulse is available in test mode for Pro subscribers, with a launch for Plus users expected soon. OpenAI plans to gradually make this feature available to everyone. Developers emphasize that personalization is based on the specific user’s data, and preferences only affect their own interaction experience with ChatGPT.
Pulse reports cover topics from sports news to nutrition tips or travel planning, and are formed considering previous chats and interests. Users can suggest what they would like to see in the next summary and leave feedback for further improvement of selections. ChatGPT Pulse does not have infinite scrolling, and the daily selection is limited and disappears the next day if not saved.
