ChatGPT maintains its leadership in the AI market, but Google Gemini is confidently closing the gap. According to Similarweb, over the past year, Gemini’s share in the traffic of generative AI services has grown from 6.5 to 13.7 percent. ChatGPT currently holds 73.8 percent, although a year ago this figure was 87.1 percent.
Other services have noticeably smaller shares. DeepSeek holds 3.9 percent, Perplexity and Grok — 2 percent each, Claude — 1.8 percent, and Microsoft’s Copilot — 1.2 percent. For these players, the situation has changed little over the year.
The overall traffic to AI services continues to grow. Users are increasingly turning to various platforms for text creation, ideas, and responses to queries. The growth of Gemini indicates increased interest in alternatives to ChatGPT.
Visitors can choose different tools depending on their needs. Services offer text generation, learning assistance, content creation, and quick answers to questions. The market is evolving and offering more options for daily AI use.
