OpenAI announced the implementation of new features for ChatGPT, aimed at improving the work of professionals and teams. Among the main updates is the “Connectors” feature, which allows ChatGPT to connect to popular tools, including Outlook, Teams, Google Drive, Gmail, Linear, SharePoint, Dropbox, and Box. This enables users to receive responses based on data from their own sources and use the model for complex queries without the need to manually transfer information.
The “Connectors” feature is available for Plus, Pro, Team, Enterprise, and Edu subscribers, and organizations can create their own connections through the open standard Model Context Protocol (MCP), developed by Anthropic. Thanks to MCP, workspace administrators can integrate internal systems and applications with ChatGPT, simplifying the search and analysis of corporate data. The company emphasized that user data remains protected — the model is not trained on Teams, Enterprise, and Edu information, and access to data is limited by user rights.
Another update is the “Record Mode,” which is already available to Team users on MacOS. With this feature, ChatGPT can record meetings or voice notes, automatically recognize key moments, and create transcripts. Subsequently, the user can ask the model questions about the meeting content, and ChatGPT will use the context from the transcripts to provide answers. It is expected that this feature will soon be available for other subscription plans.
For organizations on Enterprise and Teams plans, a flexible payment system has been added — credits appear in workspaces, providing full access to new features and models within existing subscriptions. Initially, this feature will appear in Enterprise, and later in Teams.
