On November 21, 2024, Brave Search introduced a new feature — chat mode in Answer with AI. This option allows users to ask follow-up questions to their initial search query. The new mode is available for free to all Brave users. Simply enter a query in the search engine and use the new functionality, even if Brave Search is not set as your default.
Answer with AI was launched earlier this year as the first major real-time search tool focused on privacy. It generates over 11 million answers every day.
The new feature combines search capabilities with generative AI. The search engine provides access to real-time data, reducing the risk of AI “hallucinations.” Brave Search is powered by open and internal models along with its own web page index, keeping all conversations episodic and confidential.
