Amazon Web Services (AWS) will open a marketplace for AI agents next week, partnered with the company Anthropic. The launch will take place on July 15 during the AWS Summit in New York. The new marketplace will allow startups to directly offer their AI agents, and users will be able to find, install, and choose them according to their needs.
The marketplace will provide startups with the opportunity to receive payment from clients for installing agents, and AWS will take a small commission from these transactions. This approach resembles pay-per-software-product models.
Google Cloud and Microsoft already have similar platforms for AI agents, but the emergence of a marketplace from AWS may provide developers and enterprises with more options for selecting and using agents in their processes.
