Apple is actively working on integrating the Gemini chatbot into its Apple Intelligence platform. Information about this appeared in the beta version of iOS 18.4, indicating Apple’s intention to expand the capabilities of its AI. Currently, Apple Intelligence allows users’ requests to be forwarded to ChatGPT for more contextual responses than those provided by Siri.
At the WWDC 24 conference, Apple’s head of software Craig Federighi emphasized that the company plans to integrate other artificial intelligence models as well. This could mean that in the future, iPhone users will be able to take advantage of new features enabled by Gemini.
Google recently introduced several new Gemini 2.0 models, including one optimized for complex reasoning. There is a possibility that these updated models may become available on Apple devices in the near future.
The integration of Gemini into Apple Intelligence could significantly enhance user interaction with Apple devices, providing more flexible and accurate responses to queries.
