Anthropic has introduced a new feature for users of its AI assistant Claude — custom styles. Users can now tailor Claude’s responses by creating personalized styles based on examples of their own writing or by providing specific instructions regarding tone and other aspects.

Users can choose from three new presets: “Concise” for brief answers, “Explanatory” for educational responses with extra details, and “Formal” for clear and refined texts. If none of the presets fit, Claude can generate custom styles that mimic other writing manners. To do this, users need to upload content samples reflecting their style and provide instructions for its reproduction.
Claude’s product lead, Scott White, noted: “You can set these parameters once and make every interaction exactly the way you want.” This can be useful for writing various types of text, such as technical documents or professional emails.
