Anthropic, the company developing the AI model Claude, is working on integrating web search capabilities. This feature is not yet active, but CEO Dario Amodei has hinted at its development. Mentions of this feature have already been spotted in the Claude web app.
The proposed “Web Search” tool will allow Claude to access real-time information from the internet. Once activated, users will be able to preview articles or websites relevant to their queries. This will enable Claude to combine its static language model capabilities with dynamic data retrieval, a feature already implemented by most of its competitors.
Anthropic is known for its focus on ethical and safe AI development. Recent updates to Claude include enhanced memory capabilities and two-way voice interactions.
