Anthropic is preparing a series of updates for its Claude app, including new features to enhance logical reasoning and web search capabilities, which will be available on both web and mobile platforms. These updates may be introduced alongside the launch of new models, as the current Claude 3.5 Sonnet does not support the new features. Users are eagerly awaiting the release of Claude Opus, which is expected soon.

The latest update to the iOS app introduced new features, such as a beta version of the “Analyze” tool, which allows Claude to run code, build charts, and analyze uploaded data. The “Analyze” and “Artifacts” tools are now available in the “Tools” menu, and a new tool selector in Composer offers more flexibility when creating prompts. There is also a new “Advanced Thinking” feature, currently available only to free accounts.
Additionally, the app now features a new toggle for web search, marked as a beta version, which is not yet functional but indicates the possibility of searching the internet for up-to-date answers. New icons such as “Think” and “Steps” hint at upcoming features that may be introduced soon. These updates could be part of a broader strategy to expand Claude’s capabilities.
Amazon is expected to hold an event on February 26, where it may announce a partnership with Anthropic, possibly unveiling an improved version of Amazon Alexa powered by Claude models. There is also a chance that Amazon will present new models or a deeper collaboration with Anthropic during this event. Although the official announcement date from Anthropic has not yet been set, it is likely to coincide with Amazon’s event.
