Anthropic announced the launch of a new feature for its chatbot Claude, which allows users to create AI applications directly in the app without programming knowledge. Now users can describe the application they need, and Claude will automatically write the code and display the result in real-time. This capability is an evolution of the “Artifacts” feature, which previously allowed interaction with content created by Claude.
Users are already creating games with characters, educational tools, data analysis applications, writing assistants, and workflows that combine multiple Claude calls for complex tasks. Applications can be tested and shared with others, with the use of API for third-party applications being accounted for in the subscription of the user who utilizes them, not the author.
The new feature is available for all Claude’s pricing plans: Free, Pro, and Max. Access to creating and using applications is opened through a separate panel in the web version and mobile app. This allows creating, viewing, and editing applications on different devices without complex settings.
Anthropic implements several levels of protection for content moderation and abuse prevention. Each application is checked for compliance with the company’s policies, and users can report unacceptable content for manual review.
