The Qwen team from Alibaba has introduced four new open generative AI models, with the main one being Qwen3-235B-A22B-Thinking-2507. This model specializes in tasks requiring logical thinking and analysis, showing some of the best results in key performance tests. On AIME25, which assesses mathematical and logical abilities, Qwen3-Thinking-2507 ranked first among all open and closed models. In other benchmarks, including LiveCodeBench v6, GPQA, and Arena-Hard v2, it also outperforms competitors or holds leading positions.

Qwen3-Thinking-2507 is built as a standalone model for complex thinking tasks, unlike previous hybrid approaches where users switched modes themselves. This separation allows for more stable and understandable responses, as well as improved test results. Besides this model, the Qwen team presented Qwen3-Coder-480B-A35B-Instruct for programming and Qwen3-MT for multilingual translation, which are also available as open source.
All new models are distributed under the Apache 2.0 license, allowing companies to freely download, modify, host, and integrate AI into their own products without restrictions. Qwen3-Thinking-2507 can be downloaded for free via Hugging Face, ModelScope, or accessed through the Alibaba Cloud API. Pricing for enterprises includes $0.70 per million input tokens and $8.40 per million output tokens, with a free package including one million tokens over 180 days.
The model supports integration with agent frameworks through Qwen-Agent, is compatible with OpenAI-API, and can run locally or via Node.js, CLI, and other interfaces. For best results, it is recommended to use temperature=0.6, top_p=0.95, and a maximum response length of up to 81920 tokens.
Qwen3-Thinking-2507 is suitable for corporate decision support, planning, and analytics systems. The entire Qwen3 lineup, including coding tools, instructions, and translation, is aimed at implementing AI in various business areas, technical teams, and support services.
