The SEO company Graphite reported that over half of the articles on the internet are now written by AI. In January 2025, the share of such articles reached 55 percent, but since then, this figure has remained stable. Graphite experts explain this by the fact that AI-generated articles perform poorly in search, so the popularity of such content does not grow further.
According to Graphite, back in 2023, AI created only 39 percent of articles, but after the launch of ChatGPT, the use of AI increased. However, most of these articles do not appear in Google or ChatGPT, as search engines have learned to recognize and avoid AI-written content.
A Pew Research Center study showed that only 2 percent of Americans regularly get news from AI, while 75 percent never turn to such sources. Those who read AI-generated news often do not trust the information they see.
AI is gradually penetrating various fields, and avoiding its use is becoming increasingly difficult. At the same time, tools for detecting AI-generated content are also constantly being improved so that users can distinguish such materials from those written by humans.
