Adobe has officially launched a new video generation feature for its Firefly platform, making it available for public testing. Now users can create videos up to five seconds long using text prompts or images. The tool allows you to generate animations, graphics, and even realistic scenes with detailed descriptions. For example, a prompt like “a gray wolf in an autumn forest at night” can be transformed into a high-quality video with moving camera and atmospheric effects.
The service also offers the “Generative Extend” feature in Premiere Pro, which allows you to automatically extend clips while maintaining smooth camera movement and a matching soundtrack. Adobe notes that all videos created with this tool are “commercially safe” thanks to the use of licensed Adobe Stock content and materials from the public domain.
Currently, access to the tool is by invitation only. To get a chance to test the video generator, you need to register on the Adobe waitlist and wait for a response.
According to Adobe’s head of AI, the video generation tool will help creative professionals produce more content without sacrificing quality: “Technology enables you to create more without compromising on time and effort.”
