Adobe announced the launch of the Firefly mobile app for iOS and Android, providing users with access to create images and videos based on text descriptions. It also includes tools for editing existing images using the “Generative Fill” and “Generative Expand” tools, already familiar to Photoshop users.
In Firefly, you can choose from various models, including Adobe’s own models — Firefly Image Model 4 and Firefly Image Model 4 Ultra, as well as third-party solutions, including Google Imagen 3, Google Imagen 4, Veo 2, Veo 3, OpenAI, Flux.1 Kontext from Black Forest Labs, Ideogram 3.0, Ray 2 from Luma AI, Gen-4 Image from Runway, and a model from Pika.
All materials created in the mobile app are automatically saved in Creative Cloud. Generative credits are provided for using certain features, which can be obtained within a free plan with limitations or through paid subscriptions with higher limits.
In addition to the mobile app, Adobe has expanded the capabilities of Firefly Boards — a platform for collaborative idea work. Firefly Boards now supports video generation and the ability to edit already uploaded clips.
